Parivarwale
Terms
The agreement between you and Parivarwale. It is short, and written to be read by the people who will actually use it.

Who you are agreeing with
Nitin Chauhan, in India, referred to below as “we”. Using Parivarwale means you accept these terms. Our privacy page is part of them.
What Parivarwale is for
Keeping a record of the people in your family — their stories, the memories others hold of them, and how everyone is connected — so that it is still there for the people who come after you.
It is not a genealogy service, a DNA service, or a verification service. Parivarwale records what your family says, marks who said it, and never pretends a family-reported fact is a proven one.
Your family’s record belongs to your family
What you write and upload stays yours. We do not claim ownership of it, we do not sell it, we do not use it to train anyone’s model, and we do not show advertising against it.
You give us only the permission needed to run the product: to store your content, to show it to the people you have chosen, and to keep backups so it is not lost. That permission ends when you remove the content, except for backups already made, which age out within 30 days.
Adding other people — the part that needs care
Parivarwale lets you create a profile for a relative who has no account. That is central to what it is for; it is also a real responsibility, because you are recording information about somebody who has not agreed to it.
When you add a person or upload a photograph, you are confirming:
- the information is about your own family, to the best of your knowledge;
- you are entitled to share the photographs, recordings and documents you upload — they are yours, or your family’s, and not copied from somewhere else;
- you have chosen an audience honestly. Setting a living relative’s profile to Anyone publishes it to the open internet, and you should ask them first.
If somebody asks us to remove information about themselves, we will take that seriously and act on it, even when a relative added it in good faith.
When the family disagrees
Families remember differently, and Parivarwale does not pick a winner. If two relatives record different birth years, both are kept and both are shown with who recorded them. Nothing you write is overwritten by somebody else’s version of it.
We are not a judge of family history. Where a disagreement is about facts, it stays in the record for your family to resolve. Where it is about someone’s privacy or safety, write to us.
Nothing is deleted by a mis-tap
Removing a memory, a photograph or a person archives it rather than destroying it, and it can be put back. This is on purpose: losing a relative’s own writing is the single worst thing this product could do to somebody.
What we ask of you
- Do not upload anything unlawful, or anything intended to harass a person.
- Do not impersonate somebody, or claim a profile that is not you.
- Do not try to reach a family record you have not been given access to.
- Do not use Parivarwale to collect information about people who are not your family.
If an account is used for any of these, we may suspend it. Where we can, we will tell you why first and give you a chance to put it right.
Leaving, and taking everything with you
You can download your family’s whole record at any time, and you can close your account from inside the app. Closing an account removes your sign-in and your personal details, and leaves your place in the family record for your family to look after — the reasons are set out in full on the privacy page, and you should read that before closing.
What we promise, and what we cannot
We will take reasonable care of your family’s record: it is backed up continuously, it travels encrypted, and permission is checked on every read.
We cannot promise the service will never be unavailable, and we cannot promise never to make a mistake. Parivarwale is provided as it is, without warranties beyond those the law gives you and does not allow us to exclude. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not permit us to limit.
Keep your own copy. Use the export regularly. A family history that exists in exactly one place is a family history waiting to be lost, and that is true of us as much as of anyone.
Changes, and the dull bits
If these terms change, the date above changes and significant changes are announced in the app. If you keep using Parivarwale afterwards, that is acceptance.
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over any dispute. If a part of them turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands.
