Help

The questions people ask most, and how to reach a person when these do not cover it.

I forgot my password

Go to reset your password, type your email, and open the link we send you within 30 minutes. If it has run out, just ask for another.

How do I add my mother, father or grandparents?

Open Family and tap the round button at the top right with a person and a plus sign on it. Pick who they are to you, then write their full name the way it is written on their official documents — it stops the same person being added twice by different relatives.

My relative already added me. How do I get my profile?

Open the profile they made for you and choose This is me. Somebody in your family is asked to confirm it, and then the profile is yours to look after.

The same person is in our tree twice

It happens when two relatives add the same grandparent. Open You → Possible duplicate records. Nothing is ever joined without a person confirming it.

Who can see what I write?

You choose, every time: only you, your family, a few people you pick, or anyone with the link. Nothing is public unless you make it public. More detail.

How do I add my Instagram or LinkedIn?

On your own page, under your name, choose Add your Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn…, pick the app, and type your username. You choose who can see each one.

A relative has passed away

Open their page. Close family can record that they have passed away, and their page becomes a remembered profile — everything stays, and the family can keep adding to it.

I want to close my account

See closing your account — what is deleted, what stays in your family’s record, and how to do it with or without the app.

Can I keep a copy of everything?

Yes. You → Take a copy with you downloads your family book and all of the data, with who wrote each part. It opens without the app.

Please do not send passwords. Nobody at Parivarwale will ever ask for yours.
